Tape open — Almere. One fractievoorzitter, one regional headline, and the civic market board just got louder. De Stentor’s Almere desk put a microphone in front of Brent Hadderingh (HADDEB) — Forum voor Democratie’s fractievoorzitter in the Almere council — and he did not reach for a soft quote. The line that stuck: “Er gaat veel geld naar totaal nutteloos beleid”. A lot of money, he says, still flows into totally useless policy.
That is not a spreadsheet. That is a tape event: a named officeholder on the Almere board attacking how the city spends political capital. On PolitiCap we do not reprint the newspaper; we price the attention shock as a politician ticker move in DutchBud dibs (virtual credits) — a civic market, not a brokerage.

Why the board cares
When a local leader calls policy “nutteloos,” residents, coalition partners, and opposition all reprice the narrative in their heads. Our job is to make that visible: last, volume, and the drill-down path from the world index down to the lakeside city.

What “nutteloos beleid” is aiming at
Hadderingh’s frame is classic FvD Almere: kerntaken first, suspicion of prestige projects and consultancy churn, and a long memory of Floriade cost overruns. He has chaired Floriade council inquiry work — so the phrase is not abstract brand heat. It is aimed at how Almere burns cash and political oxygen on projects that do not land for residents.
PolitiCap does not audit every euro in the municipal budget from one interview. We do mark that a listed officeholder is pushing a waste-and-focus narrative into regional media. That is the product: political capital priced in attention on a virtual market — no cash-out to euros, no casino framing.
How to read HADDEB / PARFVD without mixing genres
| Thing | On PolitiCap |
|---|---|
| HADDEB last / volume | Simulated DutchBud (DBB) path — game / civic layer |
| PARFVD constituents | Party index linked to Almere FvD raadsleden |
| De Stentor article | External journalism — their paywall, their edits |
| Cash-out to euros | No — dibs stay in the closed loop |
Trade the tape here and you are in a civic market simulation. Want the interview’s full wording? Go to the publisher. Want the officeholder’s official raad page? The ticker name link points there when we have it.
